Solvent Printing
Solvent Printing from Design to Print
Traditionally used in Screen Printing, Solvent based printing is also one of the core ink technologies used in Large/Grand format printing.
Some common products produced by the solvent printing process banners, billboards, mesh building wraps, posters, labels, decals and signage.
Solvent printing process uses a solvent to carry the inks pigment. Once ink has been printed the graphic is exposed to heat, evaporating the solvent and leaving only the pigmented color. Solvent printing is extremely outdoor durable, printing on a wide variety of material.
Solvent printing is very durable, long lasting with high color vibrancy. Solvent printed graphics give the brightest color "pop" of all Design To Print's large format printing processes. Solvent printing allows for higher amounts of ink to be laid down for unique density perfect for backlit graphics.
Design To Print has worked with our ink manufactures for years to formulate the most environmentally friendly solvent inks. The solvent inks that Design To Print uses are referred to as "EcoSys" and meet the most stringent California EPA requirements.
